Our findings demonstrated that Car-NIO and Mel-NIO had a protective impact against in vitro cancer trials, in which our treatments demonstrated a significant cytotoxic impact in MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells and upregulated the mRNA expression levels of P53, Bax, caspase-9, caspase-3, PDCD4, FOXO3 and downregulated the expression levels of Bcl2, PARP 1 and miRNA-183 in comparison with untreated cancer cells. The gene discussed is CASP9; the disease is breast cancer.
