Mining the Bloodspot database38 to test whether our murine findings may be transferrable to the human setting, we found significantly higher CASR (Supplementary Fig. 18m) and FLNA (P < 0.0001, Fig. 5f) expression in (MLL-rearranged) AML cells compared to normal HSC. The gene discussed is CASR; the disease is acute myeloid leukemia.
