Sterubin, a flavonoid compound, has been identified as a neuroprotective agent capable of reducing the expression of inflammatory biomarkers (such as IL-6, IL-β, and TNF-α) as well as oxidative stress markers (such as SOD and MDA) in order to prevent chemically-induced Alzheimer’s disease in rats [22].
