Our finding that SEMA3C can stimulate steroidogenesis in PCa cells is consistent with these data, since we have previously shown that SEMA3C activates multiple RTKs, such as EGFR, HER2, and MET in a cognate-independent manner (Xu et al. 2017, Peacock et al. 2018) suggesting that SEMA3C may be stimulating steroidogenesis by activating RTKs. This evidence concerns the gene MET and posterior cortical atrophy.
