Consistent with normalization of the vasculature, blood vessels of tumors lacking ADAM12+ cells had restored levels of NG2+ pericyte coverage and increased width (Fig. 2i and Extended Data Fig. 2e), as well as increased expression of ICAM1 (Fig. 2j), which is essential for leukocyte adhesion and trans-endothelial migration, and improved tumor perfusion (Fig. 2k).
