Among the proteins for which amyloid formation is reported to be suppressed by DNAJB6 in vivo and in vitro are poly-Q peptides from Huntington’s disease (7, 8, 9, 10), α-synuclein from Parkinson’s disease (11, 12), and amyloid-β (Aβ) peptides Aβ40 (13) and Aβ42 (5, 6) from Alzheimer’s disease. Here, DNAJB6 is linked to Parkinson disease.
