Many studies have identified that increased activity and upregulation of PRMT5 is a key regulator of cancer progression and marker for poor prognosis in multiple malignancies, including breast (34), gastric (35), glioblastoma (36), leukaemia (37), lung (38), lymphoma (39), ovarian (40), pancreatic (41) and prostate cancer (42).
