Cutaneous malignancies, including melanoma and cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC), were discussed by Dr. Matthew Vesely of Yale University School of Medicine, who described new immunological findings demonstrating frequent detection of VISTA expression in melanoma (~50% of samples), particularly in CD11b myeloid cells, and this specific form of expression was found to be associated with recurrence and poor survival. Here, VSIR is linked to melanoma.
