NFKB1 and bacterial infectious disease: Many of the transcription factors identified are involved in inflammation, endothelial permeability, cell fate, and endothelial responses to bacterial infection, including NFKB1, RELA, TP53 (Barabutis et al., 2018), FOS and JUN which form the AP-1 complex (Wang et al., 1999; Liu et al., 2015), EGR1 (de Klerk et al., 2017), and PPARγ (Günzel and Yu, 2013).
