A new and advanced treatment strategy for the management of AD is using topically applied and systemically administered Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors (JAKi) such as topical ruxolitinib (JAK1/2) and delgocitinib while baricitinib (JAK1/2), abrocitinib (JAK1), and upadacitinib (JAK1) are oral treatment strategies for mild-to-moderate AD. This evidence concerns the gene JAK1 and Alzheimer disease.
