Unlike this, Verdura et al.30found that α‐KG binds TET, exerts demethylase activity, reduces the methylation degree of PD‐L1 promoter, and regulates the expression of PD‐L1. In both GBM and high‐grade gliomas, the methylation level on the promoter of PD‐L1 was significantly downregulated (Figure 5E), suggesting that PD‐L1 is regulated by promoter methylation modification.
