Evidence‐based, transcellular adhesion molecule 1 (NCAM‐1) and L1 cell adhesion molecule (L1CAM) in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) of six groups of neonates with HIE were counted, and it was concluded that L1CAM was elevated in posthemorrhagic hydrocephalus (PHH).16 This evidence concerns the gene L1CAM and perinatal asphyxia.
