In psoriasis, it has been reported that more CD161+ T-cells are present in psoriasis lesional skin compared to psoriasis nonlesional skin or normal skin (57, 58), and the greater frequency of CD161+ T-cells are present in prepsoriatic skin compared to normal skin, suggesting the role of CD161+ T-cells in the initial development of psoriatic lesions (57, 59).
