YTHDC1 and acute myeloid leukemia: Furthermore, YTHDC1 has been linked to mRNA splicing 44, the nuclear export of mRNA 19, and mRNA stability 20, 21, 45 etc. Some recent studies have demonstrated that YTHDC1 plays important roles in several biological functions and disease progressions such as, embryonic development 46, neuronal development 47, lung cancer 48, leukemia 20, 21, colorectal carcinoma 49, etc. For instance, there is an overexpression of YTHDC1 in acute myeloid leukemia which helps in the maintenance of acute myelocytic leukemia cells proliferation and survival 20, 21.
