CRP and acute kidney injury: Compared with patients without AKI or with stage 1 AKI, patients with stage 2 or 3 AKI showed a significant increase in serum concentrations of sCr, BUN, Cys-C, β2-MG, AST, TBIL, ALP, GGT, LDH, BUN, AMY, lipase, CK-MB, TnI, TT, D-dimer, CRP, IL-6, and PCT and significantly reduced serum levels of albumin and PLT count during the course of hospitalization (see Figure 3).
