Genes associated with inflammatory cytokine signaling and innate immune response were also significantly downregulated in the μKO CXI, particularly Il1r1, Il1r2, and Nfkbia, indicating that the absence of Ripk2 in microglia has profound effects on the immune response to stroke injury, further strengthening our claim that the detrimental effect of RIPK2 is mediated by promoting neuroinflammation after stroke. This evidence concerns the gene RIPK2 and stroke disorder.
