In summary, our paper signifies that serum brain natriuretic peptide, pentraxin 3, and vascular endothelial growth factor are of clinical values as biological indicators for predicting acute pulmonary embolism complicated by pulmonary artery hypertension (APE‐PAH) and reflecting the severity of APE‐PAH. This evidence concerns the gene PTX3 and apparent mineralocorticoid excess.
