PROM1 and melanoma: Some examples of the association between EV glycans or glycoproteins moieties and cancers include: glypican-1(a proteoglycan) [58] and CD133 (prominin-1) [18] for pancreatic; a wide range of N-glycans (bisected, complex, and branched) for prostate, melanoma, and pancreatic [34, 53, 59, 60]; leucine-rich α-2, and α-2-HS-glycoprotein as well as MUC1 for non-small cell lung cancer [61–63]; and LGALS3BP, CD24 and EpCAM for ovarian cancer [15–17].
