TP53 and breast carcinoma: Further, the elevated Hippo pathway signatures were strongly associated, even stronger than the p53 pathway, with the aggressive basal-like breast cancer subtype in both cell lines and tumors (Supplementary Fig. 14) and with poor survival among the patients with basal-like tumors (Supplementary Fig. 15b), indicating that the Hippo/YAP/TAZ signature may be a strong indicator or predictor of clinical phenotypic aggressiveness in early-stage tumors and a potential therapeutic target for early intervention.
