In this study, we used this model and found that nuclear Trx-1 and pSTAT3 protein levels were increased in AOM/DSS-induced CAC mouse, but decreased with PX-12 treatment, suggesting that PX-12 can suppress the progression of CAC by blocking nuclear translocation of Trx-1 and pSTAT3. The gene discussed is TXN; the disease is infectious otitis media.
