A higher proportion of positive Trx-1 nuclear staining was observed in the distal colon and rectum (P < 0.05); additionally, patients with lymph node metastases (P < 0.01) and distant metastases (P < 0.05) had a higher percentage of nuclear Trx-1 staining than those without metastases. The gene discussed is TXN; the disease is metastatic malignant neoplasm in the lymph nodes.
