Autophagy, known for the degradation of cytosolic components in eukaryotic cells, plays an important role in recognizing and protecting cells from invading intracellular pathogens such as Salmonella. To understand the mechanisms of MK2 mediated control of susceptibility to Salmonella infection, we compared the levels of lipidated LC3 (LC3-II) levels between MK2-deficient and expressing MEFs infected with S. Typhimurium. Here, MAP1LC3A is linked to Salmonella Infections.
