Emerging evidence highlights the potentially beneficial role of other glucose-lowering drugs, including sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors (SGLT-2i) and glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs) in the management of NAFLD in the context of T2D [5, 11–13]. The gene discussed is GLP1R; the disease is metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
