MYC is a well-known transcription factor strongly associated with cancer initiation and is found to be deregulated in over half of human cancers, whereas PRL3 and MET are implicated in cancer metastasis through regulating oncogenic effector pathways, such as PI3K/Akt/mTOR and HGF/SF signaling, respectively [15–17]. This evidence concerns the gene PTP4A3 and cancer.
