On correlating vitamin B12 levels with thyroid autoantibodies (Figure 6), 78.6% of patients with raised anti-TPO antibodies were found to have vitamin B12 deficiency (p = 0.01) (Table 4), while 78% of patients with raised anti-Tg antibodies had vitamin B12 deficiency (p = 0.07) (Table 5). This evidence concerns the gene TG and vitamin B12 deficiency.
