AKT1 and tuberculosis: In addition, according to Figure 8H–M, compared with the TB treatment group, the combined use of LY294002 and TB increased the expression levels of SREBP-1C and SREBP-2C (Akt lipid metabolism substrates), and the expression levels of their downstream targets FASN, ACC, and HMGCR also increased (p < 0.05); this suggests that the role of TB in preventing lipid metabolic disorders is PI3K-dependent.
