To investigate the utility of CRP as a biomarker of the prediction of treatment effect with aspirin, the authors conducted a new study in a new group of patients with baseline CRP > 1 mg/L and, in addition to the same diagnostic criteria as study 1, patients in study 2 had to have a score of ≥4 (moderate or worse) on two or more of the PANSS items of delusions, hallucinatory behaviours, conceptual disorganization, and suspiciousness/persecution (study 2 n =160). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and Delusion.
