For female cancers, in a cohort of 213 histologically confirmed cases of ovarian cancer, serum ALB levels ≥3.6 g/dL were associated with a median survival of 23.3 months (95% CI, 16.5–30.1 months), compared to a median survival of 7.3 months (95% CI, 4.8–9.8 months) in those with low serum ALB levels, regardless of disease stage, treatment, and serum cancer antigen-125 [84]. Here, ALB is linked to ovarian cancer.
