Based on haplotype analysis, Maubaret and colleagues found that the TERC rs12696304-G-rs10936601-T-rs16847897-C haplotype was statistically significantly associated with a 1.35-fold reduction in the risk of developing type 2 diabetes (OR: 0.74, (95% CI: 0.61–0.91), p = 0.004) [45]. This evidence concerns the gene TERC and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
