MET and neoplasm: Molecular analyses via RT-qPCR demonstrated a significant decrease in the lactate/H+ transporter MCT4 levels in the tumor tissue of the 4T1 xenograft mouse model treated with both cisplatin and MET plus SYRO (p < 0.05) (Figure 6b), whereas low levels of the epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) biomarker Snail (Figure 6e) were observed only in the group treated with the combination of MET plus SYRO (p < 0.05).
