Despite these findings, other studies have detected a similar rate of recurrence when comparing acromegaly patients with and without associated hyperprolactinemia (7.1 vs. 11.3%, p = 0.185) [104], although it should be noted that the rate of surgical remission was also lower in GH–PRL PitNETs that in GH-PitNETs in this series (69.1% vs. 80.7%, p = 0.037) (Table 2).
