These biomarkers, including CRP, IL-6, TNF-α, IL-8, homocysteine (HCY), intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1), vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDLc), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDLc), triglycerides (TG), leptin, malondialdehyde (MDA), alanine transaminase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1), adiponectin, and cortisol, were found to decrease after OSA treatment. Here, TNF is linked to obstructive sleep apnea syndrome.
