Indeed, an SBR grade of III was found to be more prevalent in cases within the BRCA1 promoter hypermethylated group (14/19; 73.68%) compared to cases from the BRCA1 unmethylated group (12/28; 42.86%), suggesting an association between BRCA1 promoter hypermethylation and the aggressiveness of breast cancer (Figure 2h). Here, BRCA1 is linked to breast carcinoma.
