Several different ratios demonstrated significant differences between IBD and healthy controls: a retrospective analysis found increased levels of the neutrophil-to-albumin ratio, neutrophil-to-pre-albumin ratio, fibrinogen-to-pre-albumin ratio (p < 0.001), and lower levels of albumin-to-alkaline-phosphatase ratio, as well as the Prognostic Nutritional Index (p < 0.001) [11]. This evidence concerns the gene ALB and irritable bowel syndrome.
