A preclinical study reported by Dai et al. [122] using various cancer lines (melanoma, breast, colon, and liver cancer cell lines (H1299, BT549, MDA-MB-231, MDA-MB-468, SW620, MHCC97H, and B16F10)) indicated the crucial role of immunomodulatory roles of natural products in anti-cancer treatments, including the involvement of CD3+ CD8+ T lymphocytes in a co-culture system together with cancer cell lines. The gene discussed is CD8A; the disease is cancer.
