S100A8 and gastric cancer: Interestingly, most of the Mongolian dyspeptic patients are infected with less-virulent strains, like a Western-type CagA, and many cases of GC were found in the upper part of the stomach [12,14], although most GC arises in the middle or lower part of the stomach in other East Asian countries infected dominantly by H. pylori strains with East Asian-type CagA, such as Japan, Korea, and China [14].
