Our data from flow cytometric assay and Western blot analysis show that P-AscH− triggers apoptotic cell death on NSCLC as determined by an increase in apoptotic cells (annexin-V positive; Figure 7); and formation of apoptotic hallmarks (cleavage of PARP; decrease in expression of anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 and Mcl-1; Figure 8), respectively. The gene discussed is PARP1; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
