Wang et al. analyzed ten oxidative stress genes (GPX, MPO, PPARG, OGG1, NOS2A, NOS3, AKR1A1, AKR1C1, SOD2, CYBA) in a multi-center study performed on patients suffering from NHL and established that polymorphisms of these genes determine an increase in ROS, which results in a greater risk of the onset of NHL [143]. The gene discussed is MPO; the disease is non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
