GM1 levels in the hippocampi of APPswe/PS1ΔE9 (APP/PS1) mice were higher and increased with age (Figure S1a,b, Supporting Information), indicating that GM1 plays an important role in AD pathological process.[15, 16] To validate the involvement of GM1 in the etiology of AD, we administered GM1 to APP/PS1 mice and performed the behavioral tests and biochemical experiments (Figure 1a).
