Although ERBB2 amplifications and mutations are thought to be mutually exclusive [27,28], in this study, we identified cases of EAC (8/315, 2.5%), GC (4/587, 0.7%), and CRC (6/1065, 0.6%) with simultaneous amplifications and mutations, but at a low frequency. This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and colorectal carcinoma.
