PCBP1 is an RBP that is ubiquitously expressed in human cells and is considered as a potential tumor suppressor for many types of cancers, including gastric cancer.[31, 35, 36, 37] Mechanism study discovered that circMAP2K2 can disrupt the protein stability of PCBP1 through proteasomes degradation, and the alteration of PCBP1 further affect the expression of GPX1. Here, GPX1 is linked to gastric cancer.
