Regarding histological findings, the frequency of transitional/fibrous meningioma in our cases (Fig. 1C: 57.1% in NF2 patients and 39.2% in sporadic NF2-altered meningiomas) was found to be relatively lower than that in previous papers [12]; however, further studies on a multi-centre, larger cohort are needed to avoid bias. The gene discussed is NF2; the disease is meningioma.
