We next examined the expression of several Foxa1/2 target genes, including BTG1 (B-cell translocation gene 1), an anti-proliferative factor, FGL1 (fibrinogen-like 1), an acute phase reactant for inflammatory response, ABCC4 (ATP-binding cassette, sub-family C, member 4), which mediates the membrane transport of various molecules in multi-drug resistance, and PPM1L (protein phosphatase, Mg2/Mn2 dependent, 1 L), a tumour suppressor. Here, ABCC4 is linked to neoplasm.
