We found that patients expressing high levels of CXCR4 have high levels of LPA1 in breast, pancreatic, and thyroid cancers, suggesting that the lack of correlation between CXCR4 expression and patient survival may be due to CXCR4 inhibition by the LPA1/LPA axis. The gene discussed is CXCR4; the disease is thyroid gland carcinoma.
