Canalisis sinuosus (CS) was present in 133 cases, of which 61 (45.86%) were found unilaterally and 72 (54.14%) bilaterally. Male patients presented more CS (P < .05). No significant relationship was found between the presence of CS and age. Additionally, no significant relationship was found between the diameter and the end of the CS path. This evidence concerns the gene CS and Cowden syndrome 1.
