Survival analyses according to the mRNA expression levels of VEGFA in GC using the TCGA database showed that patients with high mRNA expression levels of VEGFA had a trend toward shorter OS (n=271, p=0.089, Figure 1C) in all GC populations, and high VEGFA expression was significantly associated with shorter PFS (n=100, HR: 2.08, 95% CI: 1.30-3.33, p=0.002, Figure 1D) and OS (n=102, HR: 1.85, 95% CI: 1.16-2.93, p=0.008, Figure 1E) in patients with HER2-negative GC at stage IV from Kaplan−Meier plotter database. Here, ERBB2 is linked to gastric cancer.
