We find that Abl family kinase depletion results in sustained activation of AKT pathway signaling in our p53-null, PTEN-deficient prostate cancer model, in the absence of overt DNA damage and with no obvious impact on either signaling via the MAP kinase pathway, FAK/Src signaling, or the levels of the YAP1 transcription factor (Figure S4). This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and prostate cancer.
