NAAA and acute respiratory distress syndrome: Compound 31 showed good selectivity (IC50 for NAAA: 1.5 ± 0.22 μM and for FAAH: 550 ± 70 μM) with the strongest inhibition by reversible and competitive mechanisms against the NAAA enzyme as well as high in vitro anti-inflammatory activity in the lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced acute lung injury (ALI) model.
