It has been described that LPC-DHA, through the land cycle, is transported by albumin from the blood to the brain through the BBB mainly by the MSFD2 receptor, improving brain function (Nguyen et al., 2014), and especially PUFAs are associated with a decrease in the risk of dementia (Rapoport et al., 2001; Smith and Nagura, 2001; Sambra et al., 2021), which complementarily might support the neurological recovery obtained in our model. This evidence concerns the gene ALB and dementia.
