Results of these studies show that hypoxia is involved in cerebral edema, tumorigenesis, myocardial ischemia and some genes including Endothelin 1 (EDN1), Erythropoietin (EPO) and Aldosterone synthase (CYP11B2) are reported as the key genes of hypoxia adaptation [7–9]. This evidence concerns the gene EPO and myocardial ischemia.
