Both acute and chronic CYP dosing regimens have been used to generate cystitis in rodents, inducing urothelial permeability and a hypersensitive state characterised by altered voiding parameters and pelvic hypersensitivity (Hu et al., 2003; Chopra et al., 2005; Juszczak et al., 2010; Boudes et al., 2011; Auge et al., 2013; DeBerry et al., 2014; DeBerry et al., 2015; Auge et al., 2020; Chen et al., 2020; Yang et al., 2021; Yoshimura et al., 2021). This evidence concerns the gene PPIG and chronic cystitis.
